Quirky Goodies @ TIGER in Quayside, Sligo

Tiger Sligo

Hey everyone!

I hope you are having a productive week so far!  As I mentioned on Sunday this is the last week before I go back to work on Friday.  If you are new to my blog my day job is working as a secondary school Art teacher. With the perks of teaching, I had three fantastic months off which I made the most of.  I also feel incredibly lucky that I have a teaching job to go back to as I am all too aware of how difficult it is to find a teaching position these days. If you are a teacher in that frustrating scenario and job hunting, don’t lose heart, something always turns up so just preserve.

On the lead up to going back to work I like to treat myself to a few new ‘back to school’ goodies to ease the blow of going back to work!! I always enjoy popping into TIGER, based in Quayside Shopping Centre in Sligo for a little look around for some desk supplies, notebooks, folders, canvases, art pads and other bits and bobs I need.

To my surprise on a recent visit to TIGER the lovely girls in the TIGER store in Quayside had put together a fabulous gift set for me to wish me well in my recent nomination in the LITTLEWOODS BLOG AWARDS IRELAND competition as well as our recent engagement.  I thought that was incredibly thoughtful and sweet of them and it really lifted my spirits.  By the way, public voting closes tomorrow but there is still time left to vote.  If you have a few space seconds I would REALLY appreciate your VOTE.  Click HERE to vote for my blog.  Read about what it would mean to me HERE.

If you are not familiar with flying TIGER they are a worldwide company who specialize in products to inspire you to try new things, to be creative and to have more fun with your family and friends.  I love how quirky their products are. You can find very such cute items in there such as pretty office supplies, items for parties, for your kids, home-ware products, accessories, beauty products, beautifully printed cards, pretty wrapping paper as well as D.I.Y and art supplies, to name but a few products that you will find in TIGER.  They’re stylish and colourful, practical and original, and most of them have a Danish flavour and a humorous touch. All of the products in TIGER are extremely affordable.   I really love that TIGER collaborates with well-known international artists to design their products. In 2016 TIGER introduced a series of crazy, colourful products developed with the Japanese artist Misaki Kawai and in Autumn, designs by the world-famous British artist, David Shrigley, will fill our shelves.

As you can see, there are some very quirky, colourful and practical products inside my goodie bag which I will definitely make use of when I get back to my Art room.  I want to whole heatedly thank the kind staff at TIGER in Quayside Shopping Centre for this very kind and generous gift set.  It really lifted my spirits and kind gestures like this make going back to work that little bit easier! I highly recommend you pop into TIGER if like me you are looking for some cute and practical back to work products or original gifts.  You can find TIGER in Quayside in sligo but they also have stores nationwide.

Best of luck to all students and teachers heading back to school!!!!!
