As part of our commitment to preventing the spread of the Covid-19 virus, Quayside Shopping Centre has taken a number of steps towards safeguarding our staff & customers.
As this is very much a developing situation, we will be constantly monitoring and reviewing our practices over the coming days and weeks.
- Hand washing facilities are available in all customer toilets on both the Mezzanine floor and Quay Street. These areas are being constantly monitored and cleaned to ensure best hygiene practice.
- Our cleaning schedule has been amended to focus on key touch points and risk areas including handrails, paystations, lift buttons, doors etc.
- In line with the cancellation of a number of key events around Sligo, we have also cancelled our Peter Rabbit Work-Shop and Family Fun Entertainment which was scheduled to begin from 3rd April 2020 during the Easter Holidays. We have also cancelled the Easter Pop-Up Markets and will be conducting an ongoing review in relation to upcoming events in centre in line with best practice guidelines.
The best form of defence against the virus is deemed to be good hand hygiene and we urge all patrons of the centre to exercise the same to ensure that we are all playing our part to prevent the spread of Covid-19. https://www2.hse.ie/wellbeing/how-to-wash-your-hands.html
